Kaleb Barnum is off to a strong start in the 2026 ski cross season, recording five podium finishes in his first seven races. The Fernie native opened the season with a fifth-place finish and silver medal at the FIS South American Cup in Corralco, Chile, on September 25-26, before adding gold and silver at the FIS NorAm Cup in Nakiska, Alberta, December 20-21.

Barnum continued the streak with another silver and gold on January 7-8, then won all of his initial heats to finish fourth overall on January 9, racing against several 2026 Olympic qualifiers. He departed January 10 for the European Cup circuit before returning to North America for the NorAm Cup at Sun Peaks, February 20-21, with the World Cup season set to conclude in Craigleith, Ontario, March 19-21.
